Volunteer Opportunities

Making Hand-tied blankets: 3rd Saturday of each month from 9am–12pm (Room 1108)

Prepping/Distributing Materials: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Tuesday of each month from 5–9pm (Prayer Chapel Lobby)

Blankets and Sewing does two different things. First, they create no-sew tie blankets. This time of fun fellowship (think quilting-bee) has a deeper purpose: to provide comfort and warmth to someone through the gift of a homemade blanket. No skills required to make blankets. Second, they cut fabric for simple sundresses and shorts (no sewing skills required) and assemble them for distribution to those who wish to sew. You can choose to participate in the no-sew fellowship times and/or pick up your sewing project and fabric to make at home and return it so it can bless a family in need.
