All local high schools will be on summer break.
All high school students are welcome to apply for a 2018 high school ministry mission trip. Applications are done online and are open September 3rd and close on September 30th.
For those who have questions beyond what is covered in the informational packets, parents are invited to join us for an information meeting on Sunday, September 10th at 12:30pm in the high school room.
As we began planning our 2018 mission trips we encountered some scheduling challenges. These challenges are a result of both the varying schedules of our local schools and the availability of our ministry partners on the ground. Because of this, both of our spring break mission trips this coming year will happen when some of our local high schools are in session.
Here you will find the scheduled dates for spring and summer break for many of our local high schools. This is the information published in their official school calendars. This information is, to the best of our knowledge, accurate as of September 1, 2017. If your school is not listed here, please investigate as you apply for 2018 trips. We want to make sure you have all of the relevant information about your school year calendar before you apply for a trip.
As a ministry, we will welcome any qualified high school student on any trip they choose, irrespective of the school they attend. In other words, if there is a trip you wish to attend that will require you to miss school, we will follow our historical practice of deferring to parents in making those decisions. If the parents of a student approve them missing school days to participate in the trip, the student will be welcomed onto the team and not penalized in the application process. If the parents do not approve of them missing school for that week, their application will not be considered. We believe that parents are best equipped to make this important decision for their children.
